This was the first book by Dean Koontz that I ever read. I still remember standing in the second hand book shop, opening the cover and reading the first line - something along the lines of 'Tuesday had been a great day until Harry had to shoot someone before breakfast'. Just how can you possibly put a book down when it starts like that?

However, I have to admit that after a while, some of the books have 'bled into one' and I find it hard to separate the plot/characters etc... My advice, stick to the earlier novels and you won't be disappointed.
