Seldom have I read such a complete travel book. It had everything, humour, pathos and information.
The book is in two parts, the fist part covers the period of the author's original stay in Australia, as a wide eyed teenager. The Second part is the re-visit and looks at modern day Oz. His descriptions are magical, I felt as though I was with him on his journey.
I would heartily recommend this book for anyone about to travel to Australia, or simply enjoys travel writing at its best *****
