Short but beautiful

The Good Women of China was one of the best books I read last year! I simply cannot tell you enough about how good it was. It is basically a collection of short stories about various women in China that Xinran has had contact with. The stories are very interesting because sometimes you would never expect for these women to have lived through what they have. Highly reccomended!

I first read this author last year, after seeing the The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. The movie was entertaining, but not nearly as good as the book. It was beautifully written and has a few interesting plot, not to mention the main characters are *different* to say the least. There isn't really a certain book to start with because each book focuses of different characters and different times, but I would read them all!

Still one of my favs. Basically a story about a group of rabbits who are forced from their homes and are trying to survive.

This is still one of my favorite books. A very moving tale about a boy and his two dogs. It made me cry the first time I read it!

This was one of my favorite books when I was younger. It is very descriptive and beautifully written. I was completely absorbed from the first page and was sad when I finished the last. Younger kids will greatly enjoy this book:)

I read this book during the summer, out in a lazy rays of sun laying in the hammock. I am not very eloquent but I thought this book was bitterly funny, yet very moving. Though it takes place in the 1960's it is still relevant to today's youth. I greatly enjoyed the main character's sense of humor and felt bad for all the pain they all went through. I would definitely reccomend this title!
