About Me
I like most books I read, but sadly, I have not found enough living authors whom I love, so my current mission is to seek them out. At the same time, I wish to share my favorite books and authors with everyone in the case that I can help someone with the reverse problem.

I can't imagine beginning anywhere other than the Eye of the World, as there are literally dozens of primary characters, numerous plot lines, and so much original vocabulary that there is a glossary in the back!
For people who are still wading through the series, I seriously think you can skip Book 10, Crossroads of Twilight, and not feel lost.
about Roald Dahl 2006-02-01 18:12:40
Roald Dahl's short stories are twisted, suspenseful, and completely enthralling. Some are actually pretty well-known so you might recognize a few.
In terms of his children's books, I firmly believe they can resonate with adults. Most people have heard of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory by now, but his novels about the bookish intelligent Matilda and the loveable BFG are his finest, in my opinion. For children, I hardly shift my recommendations except to include James and the Giant Peach.
