Since I recommend reading Fire Bringer first, I will explain a little about that book. Basically it is about a herd of deer, but especially one in particular. His name is Rannoch and he is born into a prophecy, one that involves him having to leave his home and travel many miles, along the way befriending some strange and unique animals, and having a brush with humans. In order to fulfill the prophecy Rannoch must find out a secret bit of information about the evil leader of his home herd, the same leader who is trying to take over the animal world.
