Vicki Lane is the author of the Elizabeth Goodweather mystery series from Bantam Dell. (Signs in the Blood, 2005; Art’s Blood 2006; Old Wounds and In a Dark Season coming in 2007 and 2008.) A Florida native, Vicki taught English in that state for nine years. In 1975 she said goodbye to all that and, seduced by The Whole Earth Catalogue and Mother Earth News, moved with her husband to a mountain farm in North Carolina and learned to milk cows and raise tobacco. In 2000, she remembered that she was an English major and decided to try her hand at a mystery novel. The Elizabeth Goodweather series, set in the present and past of the mountains of North Carolina, is the result. For more about the books and author, see www.vickilanemysteries.com.
