Deborah Jackson lives in Ottawa, Ontario. She grew up in the rural backyard of Toronto, between Woodstock and Stratford. Far from soaking up Shakespeare, she spent most of her time reading science fiction and fantasy. In 1986 she received a Baccalaureate Degree in Science from the University of Ottawa.

For many years Deborah worked as an R.N. and dialysis technician, crafting the odd story on the side. Eventually she decided to write novels full time, and hasn’t looked back. Ice Tomb, her first novel, involved extensive research, but she saw it as a labor of love. Three months after sending out the manuscript, she was offered a contract with Invisible College Press. LBF Books saw immediate potential in Time Meddlers.
