Due to the books that take place in Botswana, it prompted me to visit the country in January 2007. I was enthralled by the culture through Smith's descriptions. I have loved reading all of that series.

The book "44 Scotland Street" was a series first published in an Edinburgh newspaper. Smith is now living in that city. l did not find this book as interesting as the Botswana series, but still interesting. Having been to Edinburgh twice, it was interesting to find places and events described.
