In 1993 Ken Barnett broke a family tradition by becoming an EMT instead of staying in constuction. Drawing from his own true experiences in the field,Neck Deep is his first book. A gripping story of life as a flight paramedic, building a helicopter operation where there had been none while overcoming the often daunting, sometimes strange obstacles he and his colleagues face in their daily efforts to preserve human life. Profound and eye opening, Neck Deep opens the door to a side of emergency care rarely seen, and leaves the reader with an inescapable realization: This could happen to me. Neck Deep shows what happens if it does.
