Although he died in 1966, the writing of Cordwainer Smith makes an indelible mark on those who've been lucky enough to read him.
He wrote the definitive textbook on psychological warfare for the US Army, and three thrillers before he began publishing science fiction.
NESFA Press has published a complete collection of his short fiction under the title "The Rediscovery of Man", and his one science fiction novel, "Norstrilia"; they plan to keep those books in print permanently.
