Anyone who enjoyed '1066 and All That' will enjoy Dr Ripley's writing. Movie buffs with a sense of humour will in particular enjoy 'The Lost Films'.

Dr Derek J Ripley is a local librarian from England who has made something of a name for himself by specialising in writing works of 'fact-free' history. He has been surprised that his patient historical research has been classified by his publisher as 'humour', but nevertheless relishes the new audience his work is reaching.
