Most people know Bernard Cornwell as the author of the Sharpe series, and I agree that this is a well thought out (ongoing) series. But for me, my favourite books are the ones that deal with the Arthurian legend (Winter King, Enemy of God & Excalibur), not to mention his theories about Stonehenge!
